After being lazy for a few months I've been back on the bike for a couple weeks, so needless to say I'm having to retrain my rear soreness. I've done plenty of road riding, including a 1/2 IM last year on road saddles.
My rear was tough enough, but always fought the numbness and wanted a tri-type saddle...and tried a couple, until the guys at a local tri-shop recommended the Adamo. I always swore it off b/c it looked too extreme or for serious competitive athletes only.
Well, I put it on the bike last night and went 20 miles this a.m. (on an already sore rear) and I think this thing is the ticket. Sure, it will take some adjusting to get right and getting used to different pressure points, but man, no pressure on the vitals and the forward position doesn't feel like your being violated!!! Finally!!
I'm taking the bike to the tri-shop so they can help me fit it a little better, I hope my initial impressions hold true for future long rides.
Comfort = better endurance!
