Bicycle Mechanics - hose for mini-pump

I find it awkward to pump a tire up with a mini-pump that has to be held still on the valve stem. My larger Topeak Morph pump has a hose that solves this problem. Sometimes, I want to pack a smaller pump.

What I'm looking for is a short piece of hose with a Presta head on one end and a stub at the other end (either Presta or Schrader) that can be clamped in the head of the mini-pump. Anyone know of such a thing or of parts that can be used to make it?

Buy a different frame pump. The Road Morph has an integral hose and even a foot bracket so you can stand on it while pumping. Smallest one I know of with a hose.

I believe Topeak makes a smaller "Mini-Morph" that has the flex hose but deletes the other features that make the Road Morph bigger and heavier.

Yeah, but I already have a mini-pump (Quickex Quicker Pro). It's shorter than the Mini-Morph and fits in my saddle bag.

Yeah. That might work. I will need to learn how to crimp a band to hold the cannibalized stem in the hose.

You can buy pump hoses in the 5-10 cent type stores. They sell them for "inexpensive" kid's pumps, they're about 6" long. Most bike pumps will bite on to the threads at one end of the hose and then get one of those "gas station air supply" adaptors so you can use it with your presta valves. It does work, I used to use this set up years ago after I snapped off the valve stem once. Then along came the Morph series of pumps ...

you can also use CO2 and forget about pumps and hoses.
