So I am thinking that I want to add some aero bars to my bike. I get down on my current bars by putting my elbows on the hand grips and hold the middle of the bar. This position is rather uncomfortable so i thought I might be able to add some of these...

My concern is the clearence due to the curve of my handlebars. I ride a trek 7500. Do you think these will work?
i am getting a hybrid so i am thinking about doing the same to get a bit of aero in a head wind.

Turn you present bars over, thus the ends will be lower and the center higher, and the aero-bars should fit fine;)
I did this with my Huffy, single speed, back when, improved my hill climbing, on way back from early morning job and ball practice, plus the bar was wider, providing additional grips to take during ride, center for down hills, and bar ends for flats, and the up side, for hills, when not standing.
Also, the changed position mad it easier to transport ball bat across the handle bars if it made the trip as well.

I don't think I will be flipping my bars over. That will negate the purpose of me getting a bike that had rise bars. I like when I am with my family being about to ride upright. When I go out by myslef I get down on the pedals for more of a workout and more speed.

You may find that you still can ride upright, as the handle ends come back to your body. Some adjustment to the height of the stem may improve as well. Depends on the hieght of the present riser, if 3", it will be much lower and a 1" style.
The suggestion was only offered if room not present in the bar's valley to accommodate the aero-bar install.
All the best!

This looks like a much more economical option than getting a Madone 6.9. Performance has a good return policy, so you don't have much to lose in trying. You might also visit an LBS or two.
Aero on a hybrid could be touchy. I can lean over on my 7300 and use my elbows on my bars, but it always feels twitchy, and having ridden a bike with the aero bars, albeit a road bike, I was not comfortable at all. I guess it just takes getting use to them. I'm guessing use have a flat handlebar as well, but they should fit.

I've had aerobars on hybrids, folders, and roadbikes. I didn't find it any more twitchy on on a hybrid than a roadbike. The bars on the 7500 look similar to the ones on my Montague CX folder, and I had not trouble mounting aerobars on them. With the forte T1s, at worst you may have to space them a bit wider apart to avoid the "valley" on your bars.
My current setup is a flat bar roadie (Bianchi Alfana 2006) with aerobars. The flat bars are great for comfort and riding in traffic, and the aerobars are for speed. I love the combination.

p.s. that 7500 is a slick looking bike. Do you like it?

Yeah, I really do like it. Put about 100 miles on it or so, which is a lot for my schedule. I like that I can relax and ride with the family but still get some road bike speed. That is why I would like to put bars on it.
