I was thinking of getting a set of wheels build up with FRM Feather & Team SD Hubset.
Any experiences with this product? Thanks.

Nice hubs but may not get any warranty in the USA at the moment. If buying make sure the shop you buy from can give you service later on if needed.

I was planning on buying them on line as I build up a bike (very slowly)
What I am looking for a is cheaper / lighter (/even stronger) alternative to Mavic Ksyrium SLs
So I looking at either FRM hubs (at LaBicicletta) or Chris King hubs with Mavic Open Pro, butted spokes and alloy nipples.
I was also considering Velomax....
Any comments/help/suggestions would be appriciated....
Thanks,
George
Building a light weight wheel? Look strongly on the pre built wheels.
Building them yourself you can have issues like flex and such. Many people try to buy lightest items separate and then have problems with strenght and such.
Also buy from companies that will give you warranty. Ask La Bicicletta if they can do warranties of FRM? I dealt with FRM but seems the US distributor is no longer there. So warranty issues may be hard to impossible to get resolved.
Also look at the Tune or White Industry hubs. White Industry you will get great service from.
