So I'm getting a new stem/bars and i was wondering if there were any obvious fitting ups and downs. Right now my stem is a little short compared to how my road bike feels but sometimes that seems right because i can get my elbows out somewhat like a mountain bike but still pretty roady. Do you guys know of any obvious draw-backs to getting a longer stem and making it feel like my road bike?

Getting a longer stem will move the handlebars farther away from the saddle.
