There's a Tri Series in San Dimas that has two options:
A very short distance for those of you who've wanted to try triathlon on for size.
300 meter Swim, 13.5k Bike, 4k run
A longer option...
1k Swim, 40k Bike, 8k run

I'm thinking about heading out there for a fun race. It would be cool if some other BF'ers would participate too.

My abilities would require a 30m swim, a 1k run, and a 50 mile bike :D

If they had one with 4k swim, 40k bike and 300m run, I'd sign up in a heartbeat.

But, only on three separate days.:)

Ugh... I was planning on doing it. Now i'm not sure. Being sick kinda sucks... :(
Fortunately there's 2 more later this year (one in June and one in September or October). I did 3 of the 4 sprint distance races last year.

HTFU! :) Sorry, I was just in the Roadie Forum.

I'm down for dipping my toe in, sprinting to the nearest taco stand and a 10k bike. :innocent:

So, how'd it go? :)

I didn't do it. I didn't care as much about the event as having other BF'ers come out for fun.

I can't swim well enough to do a tri of any length. I'd lose time if I had to swim across a plastic kiddie pool.

The tri was cancelled. Bonelli was being used as the base camp for all of the firefighters fighting the fire up at Baldy.

You'd be an awesome relay teammate though!

I rode through Bonelli Saturday and saw the signs and thought about posting something in this thread. I went home and forgot until I rode through there again yesterday morning. I was over there yesterday about 9 AM and figured that anybody that didn't know would have found out by then.
