Is this a good bike for the price?
http://www.feltracing.com/products/product.asp?catid=18,22,52&pid=28

If I can get this bike used but in like-new condition for $850 is that a good buy? ...I havent ridden it yet but I will to see how it feels...im going to use it for commuting 5 miles to work with a very light load...testing some trails occasionally...and maybe going on 20-25mile rides on the weekends to get in better shape and maybe eventually timing myself and trying to push myself and improve. Thanks.

It's a pretty good deal, but it might not be the right bike for your purposes. The Felt F1X is a pretty race oriented bike, not really the casual all-rounder you're looking for. For the same price (850) you can get a surly crosscheck, Bianchi Volpe, or Jamis Aurora that would all probably suit your needs a bit better.

don't know them but the component set and frame look good for that price. it's on par with a JTS from the looks of it, and $850 is good.

The most important thing is that it fits.

Make sure you look it over very carefully (especially the fork and wheels), and consider having a mech look at it.

Great Price. I bought a Felt F-80 March 20 and have rode it 1900 miles.
You should love it once you get used to the seat.
