View Full Version : Which Shoes with the Green Dress?

So I got the green dress altered for the wedding on Saturday. I also got the shoes. Now I need some input on which ones to wear. I really like the second pair, but it will be an outdoor wedding in a back yard. Those stilleto heels might not be so practical.

What do you think? Number one:

Or Number two:

And the winner is...neither!

I decided to go with these instead:

you should go with red pumps-- you know, the whole complimentary colors thing.

if you have to decide between those, go with #2.

For practical reasons, number one. You don't want to be uncomfy walking and sinking in. Plus that would just ruin them.

RED?!??! Oh garsh, I don't know about that!

Go with #2 even with running the risk of getting my feet stuck in the grass?

And the dress came out beautifully. Looks great on you!

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. But I really like the look of number 2 better. Even though they are less comfy. Hmmm...maybe I should just go barefoot. :p

yeah, definitely red.

#2 ftw. i'm not a fan of the filled-in high heels. the 2nd pair is a lot classier.

You can wear number 2 and take off the shoes when you come across (in mtb talk) "technical terrain" ;)

Hehe! That would be the whole yard, I think. :)

Why stop looking for the perfect match so early ... just two choices?

You mean go out and buy more shoes? Well, the wedding is on Saturday after all...

Hmmm...maybe I should just go barefoot. :pOne vote for option #3!

Other than that, I'm not really a fan of high heels. #1 has the practicality edge over #2, at least.

Relax ... it's a simple matter of basic math: 12 more pairs is just an average of 4 pairs per day, not even counting Saturday.

Woohoo! This would definitely be the most comfortable! :) Then I can really be a pixie. :p

Oh yeah ONLY 4 pairs per day. I'm pretty sure that's excessive. ;)

#1 simply because of comfort

#2 if you don't expect yourself to be walking a lot.

This could be a hoax. Post a picture of both pairs of shoes together and for authenticity, you should be sucking on one of the laces.

Either way, I think I'll try to keep a little bit of dignity by wearing the dress.

Isn't it a cardinal sin to look hotter than the bride?

Why do you hate that girl? :p

My wife ends up taking her shoes off at every wedding we go to, and there are usually several other shoeless women as well.

I would go with number 2 because you will probably end up dancing barefoot anyway.

Me thinks the first pair would me more appropriate
for the wedding. The second pair look hawt (probably
more so the hotty wearing them - lucky husband) but
would be better when going out with your husband.

I voted for #2. The impracticality of them will allow you to take them off and go barefoot.

To be truthful, neither get my vote:

Two!

Like one - but your dress is so light and airy - that your shoes need to weightless as well. Pretty!

I agree with that.

My preference though would probably get Joe upset, so we'll just stick with the second choice in the poll.

I think #2 looks better by far, but if practicality trumps all, #1 is the choice.

Good point.

Men are terrible for fashion advice. We are too busy looking through the clothes. :innocent:

You mean go out and buy more shoes? Well, the wedding is on Saturday after all...

Two more shopping days, plenty of time.

The answer is... neither. The first is too casual. The second the lace up makes you, a slim girl with a nice figure, look short and stubby.

Clean black heals, the dress is already busy enough, you need some clean lines on your feet.
