BMX - Fat MTRer wanting a bike for the parks

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Ok so I'm not so young, and could lose a few pounds, but still like to have fun. I have been taking my FS MTB to the skate park 1 night a week, or more if trails are wet. It's a little too much bike for a skate park, but I am not comfortable on a 20", Is there a good 24" or can a 26 hard-tail work? And with or with out a suspension fork?

How much weight are we talking? The 24" plus are mainly cruisers for racing so it is going to mostly likely have an aluminum frame . . so weight + abusive park bike treatment=chances of breaking.

Did you forget about the new Mirraco? That 24" is nice and it's full chromoly.
i second that minichamp31. my mirraco 20fouty has been a blast, my smile gets wider every time i ride it. the only thing i'm changing is the seat, stock one sucks. i'm 6' 200lbs, and the geometry is nice and comfy, yet still has that agressive feel. later

Ah, I didn't see that. Btw why would you get a 24"/26" for a skatepark when it is almost as big as a mtb?
I'm 200lbs Its not so much being as big as a MTB its more about geomotery my MTB is a full squishy and wanted something in a hard-tail that would handle the park better. the MTB is a long lean bike for long rides over miles of trial, not for stunts etc. I tried a 20" BMX and it seemed to cramped, might just be me?
