i know that berringer has built one, and since i saw it, i want to try it. has anyone else tried it? if so advice is greatly apreciated:)

I ride a Crighton, the company has been sold out of America though. Its in Japan now under "Metalworx".

no i just think that it would be more fun to build your own snow bike. plus you could customize it to fit yourself better than some stupid stock one a company sells.

its the same as any other stock bike that you buy. the seat will need to be adjusted. the pegs will be added/removed/moved. you will swap parts for ones that fit you. its all the same.

I know there's been at least one company making mounting hardware kits for this for a few years now.
I thought about it, but didn't want to buy a set of skis for it & really the winters in MN had been a bit weak snow-wise for a while. Until last winter.
I also remember an old Snowboard mag in 1990-91 had a pic of a couple of guys who'd rigged up some chopper bikes on old snowboards. I thought it looked cool then.
