Hi my names Pete,
I'm new to biking but I've been running all my life. I've been approached by a tri team and am very interested in joining. The problem I have is that I've got a limited budget and need a descent bike. I've heard over and over again that Supergo's bike the Scattante CFR is quite good for an unbeatable price. Here's the problem, I live in Van. Canada and there's not a shop around here that sells the bikes. I'd go on supergo's web site to order but with shipping, duty and exchange the bike starts to level off at the same price as the more expensive bikes. I was hoping maybe someone new of a Christmas coupon or something such as that to help lower the price. If not, is a Scattante CFR equally as good as a treck 5200?
Long live the riders of the world,
Thanx for your help

You may want to repost this question in the Hot Deals section and ask for a Christmas coupon, then do a real introduction here. The Hot Deals section will garner you more of a response.

Welcome to the forums, though! Are you a triathlete? Do you cycle at all? What kin of bike do you have ?

I compete in running alot. I've done the run part of a triathalon in a 3 team competition. At the end, one of the guys from team Coastal asked if I'd be interested in competing in a whole triathalon. I told him I'm not much of a biker. He laughed and said the team could help me out to becoming a really good biker. Wed. they do cycling at a local gym indoors to practic and Sundays they go on bike runs. So to make a long story short, I love competition and am now looking into joining. I figure I'll need a decsent bike though. Thanx for your help and I'll post another response later, in the hot deals section.
