Southern California - Dang, I'm officially in between jobs.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Things have been slow for a couple of months, but in the last month it has been dead...so, they pulled the trigger on me. I've wanted to get out of there for quite awhile and they knew it (we talked about it), so I was the logical choice. I hate looking for a job. Wish me luck.

Bummer but don't worry too much Ralphie Boy! My job was slowing too making Boeing parts. I saw an ad on Sunday, applied on Monday, interviewed on Tuesday, physical on Wednesday and now just wating for the call. Funny, I liked the place I work for but now a threat of layoffs so I applied not thinking much about it!

At the interview, found out the job is much easier. No dealing with customers, cert requirements, etc. They called me cause of my extensive QC background. Now I'll be kicking it doing a little production and a little QC, but ez stuff.

Same money but better benefits! More vacation, sickpay, and a few more. Plus the hours are biker friendly. 5-1:30. When the electric company cracks down on them, 3-12:00/ I got the rest of the day to ride and whatever!:D...OH, last jopb was 5 miles formhome. This one is 4.5, plus the route to work is biker friendly unlike the present one! I just might look into a cheap commuter now!:D

Things usually work out of the best!:thumb:

Do you use CAD? My wife hears about jobs for "CAD Specialist" from time to time in both interior and exterior architecture.

I hope so Beanz, they're giving me a months pay plus whatever vacation I had left, so I have a little time...of course, if I wait, that 4 weeks will go fast. So I'll take tomorrow off to get my truck worked on and then get after it on Monday!

Ralph, if you don't mind the drive to Glendale, give Glenair Inc. a chance. We're snatching up engineers up as quickly as possible...and since you're familiar with AutoCAD, you'd be able to do some of the work. Trust me, we're always hiring.
