Anyone up for 80 miles on AC this Saturday? Starting at Red Box at 8:00 for 9000 feet of climbing. Don't know who will be there yet.

Red Box to Grassy Hollow and back is 80 miles. If you'd like to start at the Shell, add 30 miles and a bunch more climbing. That's what Thomson and Keith do. You need a pass to park at Red Box.

Sounds a little far for me at this point in the game. Not to mention I'd have to leave at 5am to ride up the Red Box in time :D Have fun!

3 hours to Red Box? Sounds a little long. WHy don't you drive to Red Box?

Sorry, I was calculating it incorrectly (30 miles one way instead of round trip). It's about 12 miles to Red Box, right? Add the 5 miles from my house and I could be there in about 1:15. I'll have to decide how much climbing my knee is up to today. Still trying to find the correct saddle position for my knees.
