I just bought a Cannondale F300, and I have only ridden it like 4 times (6 miles per ride round trip). The shop said to bring it back in like 30-60 days, and to get some riding on it to see if everything is okay...I don't understand its only been like 15, days and its already having problems :( . First my chain fell of twice! After that the little correction thing, that keeps the shifting from getting off track, continued to go off. The man at the shop, said that when it corrected my crank would stop, and I wouldn't be able to peddle for a quick second, and it only happened once in a while, but now its like every five-six min! Then, I noticed my front tire was wobbly...I looked at it, and the whole thing was loose! I have not taken it off since I got it. Then I realized that there was an adnormal amount of Lubricant coming from the shock, and it cossed the boot tipe cover to come off, getting dirt and what not all over where it shouldn't be! So is it just becuase of the break in period, or is something up? I am not that crazy of a rider, and actually, I don't even ride that much, becuase I am not home enough anymore. Oh yah, and the derailer is Shimano Deore, do you think I need to upgrade, I hear its not the best stuff.

Shimano deore is considered to be the benchmark for shimano, anything lower wont be too great..... Shimano deore is fine for now, wait until it breaks to up grade it. And it seems that your bike is still breaking in... This will happen, as it happens on all bikes, make sure everything is tightened up before a ride, make sure everything is lubed and ready to go...
If your fork is a manitou Axel, then its not the best shock, the ratings and commets on it aren't that good. Wait for 6 weeks and then get your bike serviced. This should clear up the problem, email manitou about your fork, as this seems like a error of the building of the fork if you say its gone after 6 short rides.
What I've been told is to bring it back after the first rough ride. since service is free, I'd take it back as often as any problems present themselves.
Yeah, after one ride things can get out of adjustment, much less several weeks.

It's always either 15 days or 30 miles, which ever comes first.

Oh, oil out of the fork is not normal, might want to bring that to your lbs pretty soon, spokes do loosen up after first few miles, but not that much though. Finally, are you supprised, it's shimano you are talking about.
Zing! Another bash on Shimano :o
Mostly minor problems, with the possible exception of the fork seals leaking. They probably just need to be cleaned, get some 35mm camera film and slide it in and out underneath your seals, the little holes in the side of the film will catch any sand or dirt that is trapped. The rest is easily fixed by your shop.
How do you like the Imprezza? Sweet car!
The only good Imprezas are the WRX and the new WRX STI.

all subaru cars are "good" cars. they will last 4-ever and take a huge beating.

The only good Imprezas are the WRX and the new WRX STI. I strongly disagree, there are more than just the impreza's, they just haven't hit America, the is a new Twin Turbo Legacy Flat six on the market, that is puching 450, horse and its definetly governed, so if you took car of that you would have even more of a car! All were gonna get, is the Naturally aspirated flat six. But we are getting the Forester with the same engine as the Sti has, and is downtuned with a smaller Turbo boost, and governers, and is only pushing 215 horsepower, but its still the fastest soccer mom driving car, and if you wanted to it could be an extreme sleeper. Second is a Subaru Loyal I saw at a RallyCross, it was the Turbo model, and it was built to the hill!! Sorry, I disagree, almost all Subaru cars, use the same horizontally opposed flat four, the only difference if its a Turbo model or not, and the liter size. Check out www.cobbtuning.com all they do is Subarus, they have performance parts for every one there! Even the outback! man what a sleeper that would be!lol.
Hmmm Take one manipoo, mix with a crack-n-fail...... Yep sounds like a recipie for disaster.
I meant maintenance-wise, strangely the WRX models have the least shop time at my buddy's shop. Most of the Subaru line seems to return to the shop quite often, and not for routine maintenance.
That's what I meant.
