i want to sell my Litespeed Tuscany and i want to know what a reasonable price is for it... it's a 2003 with 377 miles...
I've seen them on sale for as low as $2400 new. I'd look at Litespeed's used program and get an idea from that.
Colorado Cyclist has them new with Ultegra for $2399 + $27 shipping. Given that, if I was looking, I wouldn't pay more than about $2K and probably closer to $1800. More than that - used - and, to me at least, it'd be worth the extra to get the new bike and the shop service (even mail order) that goes with it.
Yeah but Colorado Cyclist is in Colorado, and you're in Texas ...
This is a very interesting situation. When they came out little over a year ago, new 2003 Tuscany with Ultegra sold for around $3500 plus tax. If the value of it would really be $1800 with couple of hundred miles on it, the same year, it makes you think about actual market value of the bikes. I guess it is like a car. Buy it and keep it forever, if you want to get your moneys worth.
Yeap that's about right.
Retail works the same everywhere. the markup is at least 100%, and works up to around 400 to 500 %. Oakley marks their high-end optics to 400%.
Question: Why do you want to sell such a beautiful bike?
Everyone that I know who owns one (including me :D ) is in love with it.
