Help with a route - Glendale to Lawndale

Hey peeps

So the GF lives in Lawndale and I'm in Glendale. In an effort to save some money on gas I'm going to ride to her place a couple times a week and we will carpool into work together. Questions is I need a decent surface street method of getting there. I was thinking of cutting through Sherman Oaks then taking Sepulveda all the way down. I am clueless since I can't take the freeway obviously. Anyone have thoughts?

RobWhich part are you needing help with? Glendale to Sherman Oaks or Sherman Oaks down?

Sepulveda's as good a route as any if you want to stay on the street. Personally, I'd take Sepulveda down to Ballona Creek and take the bike path from Culver City down to Manhattan Beach, but that's me. I prefer the bike paths if they're there. If it's in the afternoon with heavy traffic, I'd probably take the bike path all the way from Venice.

If you need help from Glendale to SO, let me know. It's basically Sonora to GP to Forest Lawn to Barham to Moorpark and stay on Moorpark until it ends, then Dickens to Sepulveda.
