i looked in the FAQ's and all i found was a thread on carbon forks..and i for one am not riding on those..so i'm looking to change out my stock SR7-XCM fork for something up the food chain..any suggestions?..mostly light trail and casual street for the time being.

Errr... What size wheels/tires does the fork need to be able to handle? Why don't you like carbon?

its the stock wheels and tires that come on the 08 hardrock.
i actually work with carbon fiber so i am very familiar with the deterioration rate and the different quality resins used. not too familiar with fork applications for someone around 400 lbs. given my experiences..unless i am the one who made them or know the resin mix well and the compound ratios..im very leery.
