It I want to mount a cross lever on Syntace Stratos near the stem (where the diameter increases) what size lever do I need? One made for oversize (31.whatever) bars? Tektro?

Syntace Stratos are 26.0mm bars. Thus, any levers to fit 26.0mm bars.

Most 26.0 bars taper down to around 24mm or just a shade under. In the case of the Stratos that I have, this does not happen till the bend starts. The picture below shows how close I could go. A 26.0 lever is not actually 26.0 inside diameter when clamped so it is not going to work.
I am happy where my lever sits because it allow me to get to it while in the standard hand position as well as on the tops. It actually works very well where it is.
I also measured two other bars (profile bullhorn and profile lava dome drop bars and they all go from 26.0 down to just under 24mm.
