I understand the GOATS Tandem Club in Eastern Ohio has run a Covered Bridges Ride in the past. We're traveling to the east coast (from Chicago) in August and were hoping to spend a few days road riding in Ohio. Does anyone have cue sheets or maps from this Rally or from other nice road rides in the area?

If you need a street address or FAX, let me know.

The Cleveland Touring Club has some maps on their site. http://www.clevelandtouringclub.org/ridemaps/download_maps.htm

So does the Western Reserve Wheelers. http://wrwbc.com/maps.aspx

Both of those clubs have groups rides in the area you will be at.

North East Ohio (Cleveland) really has their bike act down.

There are rides most every weekend in Northern Ohio. http://www.ohiocycling.info/OBEC.html

The 100-mile Emerald Necklace sets a standard for any city to emulate. The Emerald Necklace is a bike route of connecting parks around the city.

The Tow Path National Historic site is world class, and they're lucky to have it - much history. I did this crush stone path on 28mm tires easily and 25mm would probably work. http://www.ohioanderiecanalway.com/

THIS AREA IS A BIKING CLASS ACT!!!!!!!!!

The local bike shops:

Best road bikes in Cleveland are found at The Bike Authority in Broadview Heights (South side). http://www.bikeauthority.com/

B & K Bike Shop in South Euclid (East side) has been there for several decades. Family run and the owner is always there. Very competent. http://www.bandkbike.com/

Century Cycles has a knowledgeable staff too (many locations around the city). High-end road bikes are not their forte. One of their shops is on the Tow Path in Peninsula (a great biking area). http://centurycycles.com/index.cfm

Eddy's is the big shop in the area (many locations around the city). Their main store is in Stow. http://eddys.com/index.cfm

Hub Bub is a great store too with great knowledge on all bikes and tandems (custom too). I think they head the National Tandem Society. http://www.hubbub.com/

Contact HUBBUB (http://www.hubbub.com/) bicycles in Chesterland, Ohio. I am pretty sure they have have an active role in this ride.
