Hey guys, I finally got my new bars, stem and fork in and I'm about to replace them myself. I was just wondering, is there anything I need to know when doing this? It'll be my first time replacing parts on my bike. Also, whats the easiest way to take off/put on grips? I'll be keeping my stock ones.

for the grips, use Wd40. just a little though. just lift the ends of your grips, spray a little, and theyll slide off easier. plus its easier to get em back on. and then just let em dry out. itll take a while, but its worth it. for the other stuff, just remember all of the angles you had etc.

Air compressor.
Or hair spray.

How would you use an air compressor? And hair spray would be a lube for the grips, right?

Pour water from a cup under the grips and twist.

No hair spray is better.
Spray a little on the grips/bars and it will slide on easily, but when it dries it will go really sticky and hold the grips well.
An air compressor is best though, shove the nozzle under the end of your grips and give it a spray, the grips will pop right off, and back on again.

alway use the right tools, more than likely it will be a 6 mm allen wrench to change your bars.almost all bikes use metric stuff.
