Fifty Plus (50+) - I'm moving, does anyone want my junk?

I'm moving (across the street!) in a few weeks. Today I'm filling bags for Goodwill and tossing a lot of junk I've kept stored for God knows why for God knows how long. What a chore!

It's hot today -- to hot for me to ride in the middle of the afternoon. Okay, I could ride, but I prefer it when it's a little cooler.

Anyway, I've got lots of junk to dispatch. Anybody want it? You'll have to pay shipping, of course. :lol:

My Bikes at Work trailer would be very handy for moving all that stuff. You are welcome to use it. Just tell me when you will be by to attach it to your bike. ;)

It depends on what Junk means to you...on the other hand i would prefer the good Stuff, Stuff is a better word than Junk.

Well, it's in a range of desirability: There's stuff, there's junk and there's s***. Goodwill will take your stuff and your junk but even they have limits.

This might be a little off tipic but is there anyone else involved who might have alternate ideas about using a dining room as a bike repair shop?

Long stroy made short. When we cleaned out my inlaws house and called Salvation Army to haul the stuff away one of the workers, who looked like he did not have 2 dimes to rub toghether, asked if he could set a bike aside and take it for himself later. Said he really needed a bike to get around and had no $. Told him ok if he would not loose his job over it. Made me feel good that someone who would really use the bike got it. Single speed cruiser style with whitewalls! That part of Florida is pancake flat.

I once read an article that told the tale of two apartments, one in NYC on the Hudson that had a view out over the river and of the Hoboken "skyline." The other in Hoboken that also viewed the Hudson River but with the New York City skyline over it.

I don't remember if the article addressed any need for the Hoboken apartment dwellers having to run for their lives each time they exited their apartment building.

As a result of the 2004 hurricanes, my family moved into a rental house for six months. I've moved more junk out of a house (much of it waterlogged) than I care to. So, thank you, but no, you may keep your own junk.

For purposes of cleaning out, three moves is the equivalent of one good fire.

I still want to know what hidden purpose lies behind this move.

Isn't that what dining rooms are for? Floor space, a work table, good overhead lighting ... Sadly Mrs. Road Fan does not agree with me!
