Hi there…
I’m new to this forum and I’m just starting to look for a new ride. I’ve owned a Cannondale in the past… Think it was a “Silk Trail”? Not important now…
I looked at a Trek 7100 this afternoon and a few Cannondale’s over the past few weeks. I was hoping to get a little advice from the experts before making a purchase…
A little about myself… I’m male, 6’-2” and in fairly good health, almost 53…
I know every manufacture claims to have the best product; however I believe that those that use the product have a better idea as to it’s worth…
What I’m looking for is this… I’d like an everyday city street bike, not necessarily for commuting, although it may come to that if gas continues it’s upwards spiral. Something that could be used off road on occasion. I do like the idea of a suspension of some sort and an upright seating position is preferred. I don’t have a specific price point in mind as yet; it kind of depends on what you get for the money…
Thanks in advance for any help…
