my latest addition to my cyborg biker status: matching hips!

All the body art adorned compadres, look on in envy, those are some BIG piercings and yes, they DID hurt when they went in!

I'll bet some surgeon was paid a lot to drive a few drywall screws.

Best of luck on the recovery. :)

From the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about Rock Racing.

Bek, Ti or stainless? ;)

You should be up and around soon though. :D Best of healing.

Definetly titanium, Tom. Last ones cost $3,500 per screw not including installation! Haven't seen the bills for these new ones yet. I've been biking since the mid seventies, going many many tens of thousands of miles until these happened in the last five years...new ones on left side are three weeks old....admittedly this is not a positive development but no crying over spilt milk.

How did it happen? this accident was a combination of genetically shaped vulnerable hips, pushing the envelope on the bike, wet pavement, a turn, and a very slippery patch of new asphalt.

Thanks for the kind words, all. I healed up fine after doing the right side, I'm certainly praying for a good recovery and years before OVN sets in.

Keep the rubber side down, everyone, as I obviously cannot.

I feel for you Bek. Welcome to the Borg. Sadly, the assimilation process is slower than portrayed on tv, I still haven't gotten my phaser or personal shield, however club rules aren't nearly as strict.

I guess you're going to win piercing contests from now on.

"I pierced my nose, and each ear twice."

"That's nice, I pierced my ass six times."

Get well soon, and may you be better, stronger, and faster, better than you were before. For less than six million dollars.

Siu Blue Wind

Hmmm. Maybe you got ripped off then. I'd rip 'em out and do that ti test thing. Ya know, just so you would be authentic and all that.

Good luck on the most rapid of healing possible.

I do have to say one thing though...

Since there are three per side, couldn't they have at least put them in symmetrically??

:D

THANKS for the kind words and ribbing, all.

I think you need a better carpenter, those screws should be counter sunk, or couter bored and plugged, who would leave the heads sticking out like that?
Heal fast, the road awaits.
