Being a South Sounder we don't get much further than Seattle and thats about once or twice a year if we are lucky. What is the length of the Samammish lake trail and is it better to use a mountain or hybrid bike or would a road type bike be ok? also would like some other ideas for rides on the east side of Lake Washington. Is there a trail hookup at Marymoor park? I though the Burke Gilman went that way or from the Arboreteum its been a lot of years since I was up that way and would like to get up there this summer. Thanks

The Sammamish Lake Trail hasn't been paved yet, so I'd go with a MTB, hybrid, or at least 32mm tires on a road-ish bike.
It hooks up with the Sammamish River Trail via Marymoor Park. The SRT is 10 miles from Marymoor to just past Bothell Landing where it merges with the Burke-Gilman Trail.
I don't know the length of the Lake Trail, but the SRT/B-G end to end is 27 miles.
