View Full Version : walked dog with bike!
I know it's only a small thing but it's a start. I have zip tied a basket to the carrier so I can carry my yorkie Pip - I rode the bike and then let Pip run alongside when we were on a quiet path then back in the basket and home!

Pip's got a harness on and a cushion to sit on. I want to add panniers now to make more use of bike. The front basket that came with the bike is small but I like it (not in pic left it at home).

I bet he loves it! I use the Springer for my 2 dogs, but I need to get a basket for when the smaller one gets "tired" (in quotes because if I turned her lose she'd run like a rabbit). Biking and running are more fun when I can take the dogs!

Here is my Rosie on tour
thanks for the replies, He did enjoy his walk. The touring bike looks fab and small wheels like us too. I am looking to get a folding bike for touring , I like the dahon speed TR:)

This is Roy. He trained his mother (me) to act like a bike taxi. Most of all he likes to run next to the bike, but sometimes the ride is too long.

I take my Bulldog for a quick jog down the road when I get back from my rides. She took to it pretty quickly, hopefully she will be trail safe shortly.
it's great to see pictures of dogs involved with cycling! And a border collie in a bag! I have a border collie called Poppy never thought I could carry her as she's so big - she is too big for my little bike though:D

The BC is sitting on a small plywood "floor" that is under the bag, but the bag is keeping him in place. I just tell him to go there and he crawls up, doing his best to get organized but need some help with rear legs strapping up.
You could put your BC in a kiddy trailer or a dog trailer (bought or homemade) and pull it with a folder bike, no problem. Mine started that way, but I built this bike since I always ride with him and the trailer would have to go with us always.:D
