This is the 3rd year in a row I've done this. 22 miles, generally gaining altitude for the first 17 miles, then it steepens to 7-8 percent for the last 5 miles to the finish. This year they added a singlespeed/fixed category. I, and 4 others entered. Talking with the others after, every one of us beat our previous geared bike times. I realize changing weather conditions year to year affect the time, but I thought it was interesting.
