No ride today. Weather was fine but 2 reasons why I did not. One of my neighbours- Who does not ride a bike but it was his son Chris that I took out a couple of weeks ago- Had a surprise Birthday party thrown at him last night. 50 at last but a very good neighbour so it was decided he was going to have a party to remember. I can remember the Cabaret. A Brazilian Dance troop doing their thing- and I can remember taking some pics- but past that-?????????
Woke up this morning with a big headache and the wife reminded me that another friend was coming to set the Plumbing on the new pool. Lots of work had to be done before he arrived- but at 8am there was a knock on the door. Chris had sent his younger sister round to tell me that he was not riding this morning. He had a headache--a 13 year old lad- so if I was you- I would stay off the lemonade- it appears to give you headaches.
Couple of pics from last night and another of the pool- Just so you can see that I did eventually brighten up. Chris still hasn't surfaced though.
Oh And that imperial sizing. The pond we have bought is an American one. We needed some additional connectors so off down to the Plumbing store to get them.
"No chance Mate"--Thats imperial sizing. Haven't stocked those for years".
Why on earth are the Americans so far out of date? The rest of the world is using Metric fittings- Even bikes are using metric nuts and bolts. I had to dig out my old tool kits for spanners as all the Nuts and bolts are Whitworth or BSF thread.
