Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - 1st 30-Mile Ride

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I kinda did it by accident. My wife was out and so I decided to ride. When I came home, my neighbor told me that she left on her bike (apparently looking for me). At this point I had 25.6 logged in and I knew that if I tried to look for her I would hit the 30 mile mark. Supposedly she was only 5 minutes ahead of me. I went out a little over 2 miles and couldn't see her so I turned around and went home. I ended up logging 30.2 miles today. I feel great and could have gone further, but my original goal was to do two 20+ milers yesterday and today, so I accomplished my training goal plus more.

It's amazing to me how most of the time we ride our longest rides purely by accident. I'm always hearing people who say they did 50 miles or a century by accident. Good job on your achievment.
Hope your wife did get back o.k also!
