Yes, it was the CRW ride, so I know it's not the most challenging, and it took me a good 7 hours (including the rest stops), with a rear tire doing a not-so-leak over the last 15 miles. But, my butt and legs tell me I rode 101 miles today, so I'm claiming victory, and will happily check the "C" box on my mileage log.

Cool!
Did you do any special training? I've registered for a metric century in August and an imperial century in September.

Congratulations! That is quite an accomplishment, and I am told a very very small percentage of cyclists ever manage it, even some quite serious ones. I rode for 10 years and never did one, and did my first upon returning to the sport last year after 20 years off. It is a thrill and I can imagine your bum hurts a bit! No worries about what the route looked like, as it could be flat as a pancake and you still get to claim you did 100 miles (better yet, say you rode 161 kilometers!).

It was actually part of a bigger training strategy for a bike trip I'm going on next week in California. I started riding outside in early March, and by April, my weekday ride was about 25 miles, 3-4 times a week, with a 30-40 mile ride on one weekend day. I did a metric century the last Saturday in April, and then two metric centuries the weekend before the ride, while extending the weekday ride to 35 miles.
Next time, I'll insert an 80-mile ride somewhere--I think the jump from 60-100 was a little too much, and another intermediate step would've helped.
Good luck!
