Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was working out at the gym last night, and a Shania Twain song comes blasting out of the speakers. To my shock and horror, I actually liked the song. Thank you for allowing me to unburden myself by confessing this to you all.

I was in a hurry the other day and there is a McDonald's right next to where I park. I rarely eat there, but popped in and noticed they had a new item, the Southern Style Chicken sandwich. I tried it and must admit that I liked it - although it could have used a bit more seasoning.
Now that I have confessed, I still don't feel good about it.

Shania Twain and a McDonalds sandwich.......................................................This is not exactly AA stuff here. Can you picture a meeting. "Hi, My names Tom and I ate a chicken sandwich at McDonalds."
At least JT's hanging around the Gym at night trying to get into real trouble!

I was listening to a local pop radio station and heard a catchy little tune, sang the chorus and thought it wasn't too bad...it was Miley Cyrus.
What happened to my discriminating taste in music? I want it back!

It's not totally off topic. Shania reportedly is a Bag Balm user. :p

Hi, my name is Mono, and I have two toes on my right foot that get numb after about 3 miles. There, I've confessed. I'm glad I came to this meeting of NTA (Numb Toes Anonymous).
And not like it's anyone's business, but a couple of times a month I go to McD at lunch, pick up a #2 meal (the two small cheeseburgers and fries) with a Diet Coke, and go home and eat in my recliner while watching the History Channel.

I visited Mickey D's last week and I got a Happy Meal. I still haven't figured out what the toy was supposed to be. I gave it to one of the granddaughters when they were here a couple days ago.

And in 8 years, she can join our forum, too. Pretty hot for 42, huh?
Oh, and I eat Goober Grape peanut butter and jelly out of the jar. There, I've said it....

Yes they are the ones and OH MY I CAN"T STAND IT. It did have a catchy little piano riff in there but thats not the song.

Tom: Mickey D's new Southern style chicken sandwich (and breakfast biscuit) is a direct rip off of the sandwiches sold by Chick Fil A. Find one of those restaurants and taste the original. 1000 times better than McD's! It's interesting - Chick Fil A does not advertising other than occasionally sending out coupon and they do much better business (relatively speaking) than McD. They have a simple but excellent menu.
OK dark secret... I really don't have any. Most of my sins are well known and "published". It is well known I use real butter and I like bacon and other things bad for you. I listen to all sorts of music including country and show tunes.
And I don't think it's a secret that I spend way too much time on this forum...
=sigh= I am an open book! :o

I own, and sometimes listen to, CDs by perhaps the world's worst singer:
http://www.scena.org/columns/lebrecht/050831-NL-demodiscs.html
"Many in the record industry remember the Russian count, Numa Labinsky, who founded Nimbus in a Welsh castle with the aim of enshrining an authentic style of singing. Under the pseudonym Shura Gehrman, he sang on three releases whose jackets proclaimed his 'astonishing command of vocal technique.' To hear Numa smear his way around a Schubert song was treat enough, but to experience his Arie Antiche sung entirely in falsetto ran some way beyond the surreal: he could not, one felt, be serious."
His English-language recordings of Schubert songs have to be heard to be disbelieved. A gravel-voiced old man half-shouting "A young man has to leave his mill and wander", anyone?

Yes, I know this. But we have only one Chick Fil A restaurant in Wisconsin and it is over 100 miles from me.
I've eaten at them from time to time when traveling. Most recently in March in Chapel Hill, NC.
I guess I could make it a goal to ride a double century to go get a chicken sandwich!
