Ok, tried this over on the road forum with zippo success.
I'm going to narrow the field a bit with the same question.
The wheelset that came with the CF Motobecane IF are Ritchey Pro 18/24 lacing.
The LBS head wheelbuilder and their top mechanic both said the same thing:
"Rich, at your weight (218) you're gonna kill these wheels" (This after the 4th 'ping' in less than 150 miles of road riding)
I'm looking at selling the ritchey pros and getting what used to come on the IF ..American Classic Victorys 24 ft. 28 3x rear 1668 grams vs 1634 for the ritcheys.
Anyone here running something similar?
