I want to take my son, because he loves to ride his bike and he actually will watch cycling when it is on TV.

My wife probably will not want to go, it's basically just an excuse for the people of the Quad Cities to go outside and drink before dark.

Maybe it can be a Father/Son outing.

I'll be doing each event.

May I suggest Snake Alley as the best venue for spectators. Find yourself a spot on the grass and cheer the riders as they struggle up the snake. Cowbells are nice. You can get something to eat/drink and riders are coming by all day.

Don't miss the cobble climb, it's a block over and is tremendous fun watching the guys try to make it to the top. Makes you feel like you're in Belgium.

Your son will love it.

I hope to make one of them ... preferably Snake Alley, but too early to tell yet.
