Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Why have the images stopped appearing?

Whats up? All images appear as links now?????

I'm trying to test a new signature and all it shows is the URL.

Hmmm... I think that unless you save it from your computer (go to Manage Attachment, click on Browse, then add the image into your computer and save), then it will save as an http if you are trying to save the image under an http.

The image code doesn't work with images previously posted to this forum as attachments. It only works with external links.

The IMG code is not working from URL's outside BF or inside.

Kinda ruins some of the reason for posting images at all.

I think we're just trying to tell you to paste that link directly from your computer rather than sticking up a url. If you have that image on your computer, it will definitely show up when you paste it onto your signature, that's all.

If you want that picture there, let us know, and one of the mods will put the picture there for you if you want.

I've tried every combination I can dfream up. I am certain the code is not being picked up by the Vbulletin software for some reason. Look at all posts that have images attached. None of them are coming up that were just a day or two ago.

Ok, that has to be strange. I was just viewing a post about the walmart bikes in bmx with images attached, and the images came up fine.

Let me do a little investigating.

hmmmm, seems to be working alright here. I just typed "[i m g] http://www.spam.com/assets/hp/GoodGone3_animation.gif [/i m g] without the spaces.

I give up. I thought I found the problem but did'nt.

Can you send us a PM and let us know exactly what you're doing so we can see if there's a step you're not taking (or taking)? Give us an exact step-by-step of what you're doing, and let us know exactly what you're TRYING to do.

If you attach one image, it shows up in img form. If you attach more then one image, it currently shows as a link. I am going to have to recomplie PHP on the server so I can show thumbnails of all attachments. I cant do anything when I am in Tucson...

Currently, this is the number one thing to do on my list when I get back home.

I put my images together in Power Point and save the pictures as a *.jpg file.

As long as it totals less than 104 KB, it works fine. You can post 4+ pictures this way at one blow.

Also allows me to add text and titles.
