Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi! My name is Gen and I'm a newbie rider from Chicago. I just recently bought a Trek 7.3fx over the weekend and I'm hoping to pick it up this Wednesday! I have a Trek 3700 which is an entry level mountain bike. Very heavy and slow. I couldn't even lift it up to place it on my bike rack. That's one of the reasons why I wanted to upgrade to a lighter bike. I'm also starting to get my son into bike riding. I'm looking forward to learning more tips from everyone on the forum!

Hi Gen, congratulations on the upgrade! Yes, it's possible to enjoy cycling with virtually any bike, but it's a lot more fun with a better bike!
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
