so, i spent $40 on this keytronic lifetime keyboard and after about 4 months or so the D key has started to get stiff and sticky. so, is it time for a unicomp board? $60 for a board is a lot IMO... but i'm tired of killing boards.. so...
Find thee an IBM Model M.
Accept no substitutes.

Sounds like you're spending too much.
I've been using the same cheap Dell keyboard for 7 years. Even the WASD area seems perfectly fine. The basic Microsoft and Logitech keyboards seem pretty decent, too.
Either that or you're particularly abusive. The days of mechanical typewriters are over.
