Introductions - Hi from Dundalk, Ireland.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello!
I belonged to this forum a while back, but let my membership lapse as I didn't do that much cycling with my old clunker of a rusty mountain bike. I now have a shiny new Globe Sport hybrid (if I have the technical details wrong there, forgive me, I'm not that clued up with biking stuff), and I'm enjoying it immensely.
Let my location not fool you, I'm a South African. I've lived in Ireland for three years now.
Glad to be back.
Nadia.

Hello Nadia! First, do you have a supply of biltong? And second, what kind of riding do you do mostly? Streets, a bit of offroad, or?
Welcome back to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

Hey, East Hill.
No, my motto for staying happy in Ireland is to deliberately not hanker after what I left behind.:D So no biltong, though if my arm was twisted I'd say that's what I miss most.
As for biking, I do enough to impress my non-biking friends but keep quiet about my 'achievements' among fellow bikers! I only do road biking, not adventurous enough for offroading. I go for a nice cycle from Dundalk outwards, usually north, every Sunday. Distances are usually around 80km per day trip, though I recently broke the 100km in a day barrier and since went further than that twice. Once on a trip to Armagh (115km), the other when I cycled to Portadown and back along the Newry Canal Towpath (112km). I also did a four day trip through Northern Ireland shortly after getting the new bike, and that was awesome.
You can read more about my biking adventures on my blogger blog - http://nadia-thinks.blogspot.com
More about you?
Nadia.

I had a great time reading your blog--I was especially impressed with your multi-day trip. I have never gone on such a journey--but I should!
As for me, take a look at my link for the Vintage Bike Liberation Front. That shows all of my bicycles except for one.

Ireland is ideal biking country, I think. Never been to Co. Clare. I should go as soon as I can.
