Fifty Plus (50+) - 50+'rs I am Missing

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Pastor Bob is a great guy. He was extremely helpful to Nora and me on our New Hampshire/Maine/Vermont trip.

I've never been a big poster, but there's times this past winter when I didn't visit BF for over 2 weeks. Just didn't feel like it. I guess I had lost my enthusiasm for the forums for a while. But now that spring is here and it's riding weather again, all is well.

There are a number, although, being a 50+'er, I can't always remember their names.

Posters like:

Hwy 40 Blue

VegaVixen

Just the bad grammerians.

If we have to self-identify, we may still be safe.

VegaVixen hangs out in the new Socalbikeforums, a website created by a member here who was tired of things in our own SoCal sub-forum. In fact, several people from the Carolinas hang out there.
VV is doing fine and working on her time-trials. She might come to California for a visit this year and I hope to get a chance to meet her.

Just the bad grammerians.

I was all set to make a comment about bad spellarians until I learned that one versed in grammar is in fact a grammerian. My bad.

Blind fingers or fingers and brains that don't communicate:o

Wouldn't it be grammarian, rather than grammerian? as in "Not all good grammarians are good spellers?"

I am here! I am back! I never went away, really, but autumn deepened into winter and I began riding my bike trainer indoors and turning to other forums and hobbies. I bought a new guitar. I took a knitting class. As the snow fell, started hanging out in guitar/knitting forums. (Well, they're separate, OK, unless I am missing the GuitarKnitting Forum.) I am writing a novel, and began spending a lot more time on that. But I emailed DenverFox awhile ago, telling him I was still around, and then I got a nice message from Jet Travis from this forum, asking about me.

So: I'm getting back into riding outdoors, and renewing my interest here, and you'll be hearing from me! Now, all I have to do is go back and read about six months' worth of postings ......

I see and ride with VegaVixen on occasion and she is doing great-in fact will probably see her again Wednesday evening at Lowes Motor Speedway for the TT's. I look for a new PR out her this year at the Time Trials.

Glad to see you back- but DG has a white fetish- So that is your 6 months back reading----And some have had a bit of snow.

And talking of DG- That is a long week without a post from him. Thought he was only moving across the road

Wasn't he taking a long drive from somewhere to somewhere else?

And, methinks his lady friend has become more important than the 50+ forum.

Joining in last summer, being active for a few months then signing off while in ski season, coming back I find a new group. Many of the regulars from last summer still here, but some less active. Although I find the conversation still interesting I do have to admit - it is kind of like a soap opera, you can rejoin at anytime - the plot never changes.

centexwoody has been gone for a while but when he logged in today, he had a PM of all things...

suppose I could reveal my ride stats for 2007 and that would about bring everyone up to date or just reveal that, as of Dec. 11, 2007, you may address me as Dr. Centexwoody, Piled Higher & Deeper...
