I was just wondering if anybody has heard anything about these. Or is there anything a whole lot better new in the same price range. It is really hard to find used bikes my size around here. (Inland Empire) So I'd prefer to use a LBS. The nearest one carries Trek but I can go a little further.

A good beginner bike for street and light trail riding (no jumps). A good place to start if you are just getting into mountain biking and you're not sure what you want. A year or two from now you may find yourself dropping 2 to 3 times the Yukon's cost on a better bike.

have a road-fried commuter Yukon. Upgraded wheels and happy so far...

What's your intended use?
IF mostly street, with light trail use, maybe the Cypress would be better?
I wonder how many "Inland Empires" there are?:)
I grew up in one around Spokane.

i have heard nothing but good things about the yukon as a decent entry XC bike. it can handle more than i would call "light trails" i would say normal trails are fine too.
I have a Giant bike and regret buying it, I have had no customer service from giant or the dealer for a frame that was out of alignment, but maybe its just a local thing.
Scott.

Oh... didn't notice I didn't put a state. I'm in Southern California, so the Inland Empire around here is San Bernardino and Riverside Counties for the most part.
