Hey Everyone,
I'm from the Mid-Hudson Valley area (Poughkeepsie), NY. Always looking for good trails to ride. Into all-mountain, freeriding & downhill.:D

What's up Dave. The Northeast forum doesn't get too much traffic I guess. I've never been around the Poughkeepsie area to ride, but I have heard about the 909 trails, I think they're called. Ever ride there? I have a few friends in the area, non-riders, but something I would like to check out if I'm down there.

Do you ever get down to Westchester at all? Lots of riding down here, though I'd imagine that it's actually better up where you are since it's less crowded.

I'm always at the 909 trails.

Fill me in on the Westchester scene.

909 is good. It's smaller, but the Vassar Farms trails are a lot of fun.

Lake Minnewaska, the Mohonk Preserve, the Steward Airport Buffer Zone - there are a lot of great places to ride around here.

Google the Fats in the Cats cycling club. I do not belong, (all road now), but that's an active area mountain biking club that will have a ton of trail suggestions. You might even want to join up - it's cheap and they have group rides, etc.
