Well, yesterday I ordered a Gunnar Sport. My LBS cut me a great deal. Outfitted with 105 the bike will be $1,350 with Gunnar's regular paint selection:

If I want one of their other colors (or anything offered by Waterford, for that matter), its an extra $125. Since Waterford is currently building a stock of 58cm Sport frames, I have a couple of weeks to decide on color.

I spent about an hour after his normal closing hours getting measured and talking about components, etc... I haven't decided on a saddle, but I'm leaning toward's a Brook's even though my LBS guy really wants me to get a Selle Italia Fluid. I haven't decided on pedals, either. Other stuff:
- The bars will be TTT Forma.
- Crank is a tripple (30x42x52)
- Cassette is 12X25

Its pretty exciting to watch it come together! :D

I'm envious. Gunnar makes a nice ride, they are definetly on my list of possible bikes for future replacement of my current steed. I think the stock colors are great, although I would like to see a made up bike in blue and red before I chose a color.

Lets us know when you get it and give us a review.

MrC.
Personally I like the Blue, its faster than the others with
the possible exception of the red.
what kind of Riding are you going to be doing? if you
are not racing I'd go with a Brooks saddle (B17 for touring/upright, Pro for more aggressive position, or Swallow for looks and price).
Going slow on the build and taking time selecting components is the only way to go, and you end up with
what you want.

Hi,
great choice, now get the Waterford paint job. It's worth every penny. I love Gunnar, hate their paint.

Great bike.I have a gunnar roadie i built up and love it.I bought it used and the paint is lacking so i plan to have it painted this spring.Thats a great price you got on it to.As far as saddles everyones butt is different,so it depends on what feels good to you.I love the selle italia flite.I have it on my roadie and mtb.Although i have thought about the brooks.

Congratulations! If my experience with my 6 month old Gunnar 'Roadie' is any indication, you'll be VERY happy! Compared to the prices here in the Midwest, you did very well for a new frame w/105 parts too. (BTW, I went with the red!) Enjoy your rides.
