Tandem Conversion (take 2)

Finally found a cheap schwinn 5 speed tandem and gathered it up before somebody else got it.
Needs a rear der. and stripping down/building up, new bars, paint etc. $50 was probably too much...but I got a long frame that I didn't have to weld.:D

Should make a good Frankenbike project. I'll also be making a removable deck that slides into the rear seatpost tube (so I can re-attach the seat for casual rides with the DW)

I just saw one on Craigslist for $50- that must be it? It was shown in front of some storage units, as I recall.

yep. That was the one...I figured for $50 I couldn't really go wrong. Now I just have to find the time and $ to start working on it. Keep in touch....I may have to let this one go once my spousal unit sees it.:)
