Introductions - Hay Y'all!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi, I am new to the forum. I am from south Louisiana and discovered my passion for bikes about two years ago. I started out with an exclusive interest old ballooner cruisers and have since learned to appreciate all the many forms of bike (however, I still think mountain bikes are decidedly ugly! : )
So "hello" to all of you fellow cycling lovers!

Hello Laru, how many bikes have you got? Which ones do you ride? Do you have photos of any?
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

Thanks for the welcome!
Well, I had a 1956 Schwinn American that started out a horrible hunter green (it had been painted w/ house paint) so I stripped it and painted it cream. It came out very nicely. I have since sold that one to a friend. Right now I am down to 2 bikes - an 80's schwinn le tour mixte and a rusty old '74 Raleigh Tourist. I'll have to take some better pics and will post them eventually.
I plan to start commuting my 5 miles to work on a bike and am looking for something a little more comfortable than the schwinn (it's kinda too small anyway). I am considering getting a Batavus. Still undecided though. I am always looking out for old schwinn cruisers in the area (apparently so is everyone else).
