i find drops difficult to skid on, if u mess up usually ur leg gets shanked

Most bars are quite skinny, dropped or otherwise. I'd assume it's rather difficult to skid on any bar. Skidding while using dropped bars as opposed to another style is a whole other matter–good thing you didn't bring that up.
