Foo - Rotate my tires or get new ones?

Here's the situation. I got a fwd. The rear tires have 3/8" of thread left, they're basically brand new. The front tires are... slicks. They're great in the dry but the anti-lock kicks in every time i try to stop in the wet.

So, do I rotate front and back or get a set of better tires for the front and leave it at that? The set of tires I have now are a pair of cheapos anyway. I figure the rear tires will probably never wear out anyway so I can just get a better pair for the front where it counts.

rotate front to back. On a FWD car, the rear tires do nothing but hold up the butt end.

I know, but if I do that, I'm still gonna end up with some sh*t rubber on the front end and a complete slick on the back...

Size and everything'll match, I just wanted front tires that are longer wearing. So technically cause the compound's harder, it should match the traction that the rear has so i don't oversteer or anything.

If the compound is different, then how could the traction match? Softer compound grips better but wears faster. Especially when hot.

Oh yea... well I was thinking since the rear tires were worn, there'll be less traction.
I guess that only applies when wet, on the other hand, I can screw with my air pressure... traction isn't just durometer alone.

Get some 22s. And the little fender badge, so everyone knows you have 22s.

Then, when you get a flat and can't afford a new 22" tire, just swap the old 15" wheel back on, leaving the rest. It's the new style, apparently.

I get 22's and I'll have to remove the fenders and some of the frame too.No no no, you just keep raising the suspension until the wheels clear the fenders.
