I got a LPG stove last week. It's the Optimus Crux. I have not had much chance to really use it except I started it up once.

I am not really familiar with LPG, since I would usually ask my brother to give me his expedition multifuel stove. I am used to naphta, which burns a steady blue even at really really cold temps.

My stove is burning a mixture of blue and yellow flames, is this normal? Is this because it's new? Thanks for helping me out.

You get some yellow flames on start up. Once the head is hot, it should settle down to a blue flame.
