my brother in law recently came back from the auction with a diamondback for me but the trick was i had to throw away a busted General bicycle for him. long story short, the breaks needed adjusted and it works fine. i have tried to find out about the maker of the bike and i get nothing. just a little help, please.
General was a brand of entry level ATBs and hybrids manufactured in Bethelem PA. I've seen info pointing to the parent company as being both General and the Bicycle Corporation of America (BCA). Bicycles were offered under the BCA, Forest Ranger and General brands. They also contract manufactured other brands such as Maxxam. Timeframes for the ones I've seen were early 1990's.
