Cumberland Transit and The Bike Peddler are two good (as far as I know) bike shops. They are across the street from each other on West End Avenue, which is just what Broadway turns into as you get closer to Vanderbilt. A little further, and there is Percy Warner and Edwin Warner parks, which are both great for cycling. Edwin Warner is much smaller and can make for a nice walk. Both have some pretty large hills, for being in the middle of town. Keep going on that road long enough, and you'll come to the end of the Natchez Trace Parkway, which offers many, many miles of riding or driving. I believe it goes all the way to Mississippi.

Not bike related, but check out Gruhn Guitars. :D Very cool shop.

George Gruhn is THE authority on vintage guitars and always has some really cool stuff. ;)

Also not what you asked for, but.... If you're a drummer, there are few drum shops better than Fork's on 12th Avenue. Great guys, great shop.

Not to mention not too far from Gruhns on 11th. ;)

Welcome to Nashville. Lots to do here. If you're bringing your bike, why not ride our Saturday club ride? Details at harpethbikeclub.com

I was thinking of bringing the bike but I will only be there from Tuesday till Saturday. During the day I wll be working and I'll be off about 4 pm every afternoon. I'll will be staying in a hotel called Gran Oleopry I belive which seems to be far from everything. Any good public transportation? Are things happening downtown or more towards the south of Town?

Thanks for the info! I'll be there for the NAMM show next month, and hope to be able to wedge a bike in amongst the inventory (http://www.cscproducts.com/) in the van.

Miguel, as a fellow working tourist, I found the string of country bars on Broadway necessary to check out, but once is enough if you know what I mean. ;) Printer's Alley (http://www.theprintersalley.com/) can be good for music, and I've seen some great jazz at Level 88 on 9th. I'm sure that just scratches the surface of the music scene there.

The Frist (http://www.fristcenter.org/site/default.aspx) is a nice gallery, including its art deco building.

So your not going to be in PR?
Guess I'll just have to keep everything under control there for you.

Enjoy your stay in Nashville.

If you're staying at the Opryland Hotel, there is quite a bit to see there alone.
