Hi everyone! My name is Marino and I'm located in Buffalo, NY. I'm just starting to get in to cycling seriously and made the move from MTB to a Cyclocross....

I just picked up a Motobecane Fantom Cross Pro this week...can't wait to get out riding!

Hello Marino, I'm going to find our resident greeter for Buffalo/Rochester, Tude. She can tell you about all sorts of good stuff that I can't.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

Hi Marino, I'm from WNY as well and there are a couple others I have found on the forums from the area. There is a thread in the commuting forum right now with a couple Buffalo-based commuters. You may want to drop a line there as well. Here's the link:

Howdy and welcome aboard!

Have a good friend out in Washington who races cyclo ----- and it looks like a lot of fun - have to get out to some of these events and watch this year!

If you feel like venturing this way - we do have some events.

The brains and brawn behind our pro-race here as well as the main guy from our racing club is trying to get cyclo started here too and held the 1st one last year - sometime around October.

Thanks for all of the responses! I'll post some pics of my new bike as soon as I get it. Also, thanks for the links to local events. I really want to pursue cyclocross. It looks like such a good time.
