So I am decided on some Mavic Open Pro rims....but the decision for hubs might be a long time coming as I dont know wat is out there! any suggestions? I am going to have either a 105/Ultegra Gruppo on the new bike, but the gruppo doesn't come with hubs so I am open to anything! (oh yeah, the sound of the clicking pawls, I don't care how loud or quiet they are!)

These wheels will be originally all round wheels, but as I earn money and buy stuff they will become training wheels. So to start with I will be racing and training on them.

I'd go the affordable/solid route with Dura-Ace or Ultegra hubs. Smooth and bomb-proof and they shouldn't break the bank.

Ultegra is fine. Great bang for the buck.

Upgraded the wheels on the wife's bike to OP/Ultegra. Good price, reliable, nice looking, what's not to like?

Another for the Ultegra, an exellent combination.

I thought I had skimped on the wheelset when choosing components for my new cycle, but the O.P`s/ Ultegra have been top class. Rolling true for over 8,000 miles up till now....

Chris King! They're noisy and very well made. And they'll last forever. If i went the inexspensive route i'd go ultegra.
