Wow that's hard to believe, of course with George Lucas involved.......

meesa like jar jar, meesa think Indy shoulda staysa retired.
haven't seen the movie, but probably will, or wait for it to hit HBO in a year.
meesa agree with Lotek...
my friend just saw it... he said the beginning was a little slow - but that the rest of the movie was great.
i've heard it's kind of meh...
It's mostly just a computer-generated cartoon with live action actors in it.
I don't know much about aztec culture beyond what i've seen on the history channel or read in mags like discover and scientific american. that being said, the movie seems to be a cross between indigenous ( to south america) creation "myths" and the x-files. not necessarily "true", but I don't go to these types of movies for truth. The movie was entertaining. Yes there were some head-slappingly wack moments (think tarzan), but the ending was cool if you like scully and mulder...
I enjoyed it, my brain didn't protest much, and i was visually satisfied.
not a bad way to spend a matinee afternoon...
I thought it was so-so. There was a couple of characters introduced who we were supposed to believe were old buddies of Indy's and had be involved with him for a long time. I didn't like that linkage. I loved x-files, but I wasn't too keen on the ET angle in this context.
I was ok with the credibility factor right up to the refridgerator. Thats where the wheels fell off for me. The rest was just typical summer movie fare.
I didnt hate or even dislike the movie. However, it is the worst of the 4. A completely unnecessary sequel.
Coincidentally I had watched Beowulf on DVD the night before (Ray Winstone connection) and I thought it was marginally better.
Did they even make lead lined refrigerators in the 50's? I've never heard of that. And it still would have been pretty hot in there.

you could probably say that about 80 per cent of the movies these days, especially the big summer releases...

My father says no. He was with me yesterday. We saw the movie together. Along with my wife and her father.
I had no problem with the lead lining. It was the fact that he wasnt killed by blunt force trama while being inside that thing when it hit the ground.
Saw it. It was ok. Just don't expect it to be as good as Raiders of the Lost Ark, temple of doom or last crusade.
Went to see it with the family and we all really liked it. We got our monies worth.
were the other movies this wacky (like with the fridge)? i't been over a decade since i saw the second 2.
Temple of Doom was a little off the mark, not as far as the 'fridge deal.
It was all right. My 4 year old son and wife liked it.
All it made me want to do was watch the first two.

I took my father to see it, last time he was in a movie theater was around 1976!!!!
It was silly & faracial loved it :)

I'm confused...were Scully and Mulder in this film?...or, did it have a X-Files-esque feel to the end? I ask because I just saw the Happening last night and saw a preview for an X-Files movie coming out next month. I hadn't heard anything about it and was suprised to see it being released so soon. I was a fan of the show and liked the last movie so I want to see the new one.

ah... details.
I'm glad I went.
Ranking-wise, not out of the mix from the sequels, but none were quite there w/ the original.
